Overwriting of not self uploaded files is now limited to users with Autopatrol rights. You can request autopatrol rights here. If you are currently not eligible for getting autopatrol rights you can request an exception for a particular file on this page. This page is only for requests on the technical permission, proposals for file improvements should be made on the file talk page.

Make sure that your planned overwriting does comply with the file overwriting guidelines.

I would like to be able to edit these uploads to crop the images to remove the unnecessary white space that surrounds the actual image. It should stay. "António de Spínola" is less specific than "Painting of António de Spínola", and there are multiple images of him, so it would be more confusing. Jalapeño (talk) 08:50, 14 December 2023 (UTC)
